Next up, well done to the 36 Explorers and their Leaders who have been out over the Easter weekend completing expeditions for their Chief Scout, Queen’s Scout and D of E Awards. I was privileged to take the Gold / QSA group to the North York Moors, where they were assessed by an external assessor during their four day / three night expedition, studying the stone crosses and other historic features of the landscape. They were a credit to themselves and to their leaders, current and past. They all passed that stage of the awards, now they must present their findings and of course complete the other sections. Here they are finishing on the pier in Whitby, I still don’t know how two of them found the energy to run the length of the pier…
