REN Scouts Go Hill Walking in Snowdonia!

The REN District Scout Hill-Walking Weekend Expedition to Snowdonia set-off on Friday 18th October 2019 for what proved to be an amazing experience for our Scouts.  Fifteen young people from various Groups in the District took up the challenge, walking in 3 Lead Groups and all managed to reach the summit!

Snowdon is the highest mountain in Wales, at an elevation of 1,085 metres above sea level, and the highest point in the British Isles outside the Scottish Highlands. It is located in Snowdonia National Park in Gwynedd. and offers some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the country.

Some spectacular pictures taken over the weekend courtesy of Spencer.

“I just wanted to write to say that Spencer had an amazing time last weekend on the trip to Snowdonia with REN District Scouts.

He took some fantastic pictures while out on his hikes and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.

Please can you pass on our thanks to those who organised and ran the trip.”
